The wheelchairs for kids program is our Club’s signature project and our Club has provided over 50,000 rough terrain wheelchairs to children in need in under-resourced countries throughout the world. They are individually fitted to the child’s needs by qualified health professionals and Rotary is constantly reviewing and developing the design – as we can always make them better. The wheelchair is endorsed by the World Health Organisation as being the suited to the rough terrain that is often encountered in remote, unpaved towns in developing nations.
